Historian.
Son of James Gordon Smith and Jean Margaret Lumsden (1934-2019), he serves as President and Historian/Archivist for the North East Winnipeg Historical Society and Vice Chair for the Miles MacDonell Collegiate Alumni Association. In recognition of his community service, he received a Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (2022) and a Winnipeg 150 Medal (2024).
