James Glen Cummings

Farmer, MLA (1986-1988), MLA (1988-1990), MLA (1990-1995), MLA (1995-1999), MLA (1999-2003), MLA (2003-2007).

Born at Neepawa on 12 April 1944, son of James William Cummings (?-?) and Lillian Grace McDonald (1894-1985), he was elected to the Manitoba Legislative Assembly at the 1986 general election. Re-elected in the 1988, 1990, 1995, 1999, and 2003 elections, he served as Deputy Premier (1988-1991), Minister of Municipal Affairs (1988-1989), Minister of Environment (1989-1997), and Minister of Natural Resources (1997-1999). He did not run in the 2007 general election.
