The Elmwood Curling Club was formed in 1911. The club has remained at its current location with five sheets of ice at the corner of Harbison and Brazier in the Elmwood area of East Kildonan.
The club was the home of two Canadian Senior Men's Curling Champions: the Dr. Bill McTavish rink in 1973 and the Norm Houck rink who captured the title in 1987.
