This 18-hole private golf course in the western area of Winnipeg, on the outskirts of Charleswood, was opened in June 1960 by designer and builder Jack McMahon. In early 1961, its operation was taken over by a group of Winnipeg businessmen headed by Currie McMillan that included McMahon along with Harry Critchley of the Charleswood Golf Club, Charlie Joyce, Bob Black, Bruce Pell, Walter Ritchie, Harold Martin, Jack Ross, and Marsh Phimister.
