Historic Sites of Manitoba: Weir House (33 Lansdowne Avenue, Winnipeg)

This 1¾-storey wood frame and wood shingle siding, Dutch Colonial Revival-style house on Lansdowne Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 18.6 feet by 22.6 feet, and 14 feet by 16 feet, was designed and built in 1910 by owner/contractor Alexander “Alex” Pollock at a cost of about $1,900. He sold it to Robert F. Weir, a foreman at the W. J. Guest Fish Company.

At the time of a 2026 site visit, the house was extencivly modified from its original appearance, with its front redone and coved with vinyl siding.
