This two-storey brick and stucco, Vernacular Commercial-style building is at the southeast corner of Henderson Highway and Ottawa Avenue in East Kildonan (now part of Winnipeg). Measuring 25 feet by 50 feet, it was built between 1937 and 1938 by contractor C. H. Nelson at a cost of about $5,500, for pharmacist Samuel Irving “Sam” Weiner. In its original configuration, the structure contained a single retail space on the main floor and two residential aparelltments on the upper floor.
At the time of a 2026 site visit, the building was slightly modified from its original appearance.
