Historic Sites of Manitoba: St. Charles Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery (320 St. Charles Street, Winnipeg)

This church in the St. Charles area of Winnipeg was built in 1929 on the foundation of a preceding church, built in 1905, that was destroyed by fire in 1928. An addition designed by architect Giovanni Geremia was made at its west end between 1987 and 1988 and rededicated by Archbishop Adam Exner on 19 June 1988. A separate fenced graveyard for priests is located south of the church near the Assiniboine River.

In 1989, a renovation project by GW Architecture received a Conservation Award from Heritage Winnipeg.
