Historic Sites of Manitoba: Pretoria School No. 1113 (Municipality of Swan Valley West)

The Pretoria School District was established formally in April 1901. A one-room schoolhouse operated at NE36-33-29W in what is now the Municipality of Swan Valley West. The district was dissolved in April 1913 and its catchment area was added to that of the Durban Consolidated School No. 1080.

Among the teachers of Pretoria School were James First, A. K. Cameron, May Green, James Mossip, Mrs. Isaac Hunt, Laura Latimer, Mrs. Kinley, A. H. Plummer, Jessie McCaully, and A. B. Campbell.
