Formerly located on St. John's Avenue in Winnipeg, a 2½-storey brown brick and Tyndall Stone trimmed, Greek Colonial Revival-style house, measuring 32 feet by 32 feet, was designed by local architect Johann “John” Schwab and built between 1903 and 1904 by contractor John Farquhar at a cost of about $6,500, for owner George Gaspard Nagy (1854-1904). He was the manager of the Northern Fuel Company.
Nagy only had possession of the house for about two weeks, and following his death in 1904, the house continued to be occupied by his widow Rachel Miriam Gomez Fonseca Nagy (1863-1959, daughter of William Gomez da Fonseca) until 1923. Later used as the Consistory of the Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church, it was demolished sometime after 1973 and the site is now a vacant lot.
