Historic Sites of Manitoba: Marais School No. 1385 (RM of DeSalaberry)

The Marais School District was organized formally in June 1906 and a one-room schoolhouse operated at SW9-6-3E in the Rural Municipality of De Salaberry. In 1938, the original building was replaced by a new structure. No vestige of it remains at the site today. In 1967, the district was dissolved and its catchment area became part of the St. Pierre Consolidated School District and later the Red River School Division.
