Historic Sites of Manitoba: Imperial Oil Building / Metro Corporation Building (100 Main Street, Winnipeg)

This three-storey brick building on Main Street in Winnipeg was constructed in 1948 as headquarters for Imperial Oil Limited. It moved to a new building on Broadway in 1961, and this building was occupied by the Metropolitan Corporation of Greater Winnipeg. It continued in use by the City of Winnipeg after the Corporation was dissolved in 1971 until being demolished around 2005 prior to development of the site as the Upper Fort Garry Provincial Park.
