Manitoba Organization: Metropolitan Corporation of Greater Winnipeg

This organization was established in 1960 by the provincial government of Dufferin Roblin to provide inter-municipality services in the Winnipeg capitol region, creating two tiers of municipal administration. Its offices were located at 100 Main Street, Winnipeg.

The corporation was dissolved on 31 December 1971 when its functions were incorporated into the new Unicity administrative structure that took effect on 1 January 1972.
