This 1½-storey dark red brick and Tyndall stone trimmed, Craftsman-style house on Machray Avenue in Winnipeg, measuring 36 feet by 40 feet, was designed and built in 1914 by the Genser Brothers Construction Company at a cost of about $10,000, for owner William Genser. He was a real estate agent and co-owner of the company that built the house. A one-storey brick garage, measuring 21 feet by 28 feet, matching the house was originally attached but has since been demolished. Subcontractors included: J. Mount and Sons Limited (plumbing).
At the time of a 2025 site visit, the house was relatively unmodified from its original appearance.
