This two-storey wood frame house on Broadway in Winnipeg was built in 1908 by contractor and brickmaker Samuel Hector Foster (1868-?). Occupants included Jeffery Ellery Hansford (1914 to 1932) and James Michael Mercury (1937 to 1952).
