Lawyer, judge.
Born at Winnipeg on 9 July 1930, son of Thomas Greenway “Tom” Wright (1897-1987) and Ida Kirk Scott (1900-1989), he grew up in River Heights and received Arts and Law degrees from the University of Manitoba, serving as President of the Student Union (1954). He began working as a Crown Prosecutor then practiced with the law firm of Richardson and Company before becoming a Puisne Judge on the Court of Queen's Bench (1973-2004). On 27 April 1956, he married Sonya Campbell (daughter of Douglas Lloyd Campbell) at St. Andrews River Heights United Church and they had four children, including Campbell Greenway Wright. He died at Ottawa, Ontario on 27 February 2024.
