Surveyor.
Born on the family farm near Altamont on 1 August 1920, son of John Robert Wilson (1895-1984) and Eva Isabell Lyle (1895-1970), during the Second World War he served with the First Canadian Survey Regiment. After his military discharge, he attended university then apprenticed as a land surveyor. He eventually became a partner in the survey firm of Wilson and Neal. He served as President of the Association of Manitoba Land Surveyors (1973). After he retired from business, he worked for the Manitoba Department of Highways (1977-1983). On 28 March 1981, he married Charmaine. After retirement, he volunteered for Senior Resource Council, Meals on Wheels, RCMP Community Relations, and Royal Canadian Legion (Winnipeg Beach Branch). He died suddenly at Gimli on 9 December 2000.
