Memorable Manitobans: Harvey Lloyd Walker (1942-2010)Educator. Born in the Tupper district near Plumas on 12 April 1942, son of Charlie and Martha Walker, he attended West Tupper School, Plumas School, and the Manitoba Teachers’ College. His 41-year teaching career included service at Golden Stream School (1962-1963), Union School (1963-1964), Kelwood School (?-?), McCreary School (?-?), Alonsa School (?-?), Robertson Hutterite School (?-?), Grass River Hutterite School (?-?), Parkview Hutterite School (?-?), and Glenella School (1968-1983).
