Librarian, secretary.
He was appointed to the position of librarian of the Law Society of Manitoba in June 1883, about six years after the society was formed. In 1884 he assisted J. S. Ewart in the production of the Manitoba Law Journal. The Law Society began publication of the Manitoba Law Reports in 1886 and he assisted in their publication until 1894, when he was appointed reporter by the benchers. He was a member of the Church of England. He was librarian and acting secretary-treasurer to the Law Society for over thirty years, being succeeded by B. E. Chaffey. He died at Winnipeg on 23 October 1914.
