Educator.
Born at Rainy River, Ontario on 3 September 1896, daughter of Mary Wilhelmina Bayer (1870-1927) and Louis August Bayer (1872-1949), she resided at Rat Portage (circa 1901) and had moved to Manitoba by 1911. She taught at The Pas School (1914-1917) and South Junction School (1921-1922), and was Principal of Richard School (1926-1930).
On 7 June 1927, she married Frederick Leonard “Duff” Sparling (1893-1977) at St. Boniface and they had two children: Mary Margaret Sparling Zubek Oliver and Robert Edwin “Bob” Sparling (1934-2013). She died at Somerset on 22 April 1984 and was buried in the Somerset Catholic Cemetery.
