Memorable Manitobans: Ralph Thomas Scurfield (1928-1985)Real estate developer. He resided in Manitoba from 1930 to 1952, receiving a degree from the University of Manitoba and teaching at Ralph Brown School (1951-1952). He moved to Alberta where he became one of the founding partners of the Nu-West Group of Companies which specialized in residential real estate development and was for over 25 years its President and Chief Executive Officer. He and his uncle Jack Milburn Scurfield are commemorated by Scurfield Park. See also:
