Memorable Manitobans: John Barry de Bedick Saunderson (c1877-?)Educator. Born in Ireland around 1877, he married Sarah Muriel (c1883-?), immigrated to Canada in 1914, and had two daughters: Mildred Catherine de Bedick Saunderson (1917-?) and Margaret Noralis Saunderson (1919-?), and one son who died in infancy (1915-1915). He taught at Pine Creek School (1914-1915) and was Principal of Eagleton School / Tilston School (1916-1917), Stony Mountain School (1917-1918), St. Andrews School (1918-1920), and Emerson School (1920-1921).
