Lawyer.
After graduating from the Manitoba Law School, she articled with the firm of Thompson Dilts and Company then practiced as an associate there. She set up her own law practice and was made a Queen's Counsel (1988). On 29 November 1967, she married lawyer Walter Legget Ritchie at the St. Andrew's River Heights United Church and they subsequently had three children. She died at Winnipeg on 11 June 2022.
