Memorable Manitobans: Orval Alexander Refvik (c1933-2015)

Educator.

Born around 1933, eldest son of Nels Bernt Refvik (1892-1973) and Janet Irene Fraser (1906-1980) of Carman, and brother of James Ingvald Refvik, he became a teacher, serving as Principal at Charleswood Collegiate (1968-1973). He was married twice, first on 25 September 1954, to Isabelle Gladys Woods (c1931-2014) at Miami, and second to Dolores Enriquez. He died at the St. Boniface Hospital on 20 April 2015.
