Memorable Manitobans: Gerald Allen Neynoe MacLeod (1943-2021)Educator. Born at Rose Valley, Saskatchewan on 3 August 1943, son of Wells MacLeod (?-1996) and Lillie MacLeod (?-2002), he attended graduate school at Carleton University (Ottawa). He moved to Winnipeg and taught in the Fort Garry School Division for many years, including service at Acadia Junior High School before being the Principal of Pembina Crest School (1985-1986), General Byng School (?-?), and Vincent Massey Collegiate (1989-1999). He retired in 1999 then established the International Student Program for the School Division. In 2005, he founded the Maple Bear Global Schools that established hundreds of schools in several countries. He and wife Meredith had three children.
