Memorable Manitobans: Henry Kreindler (1950-2024)

Audio engineer, accountant.

Born at Haifa, Israel on 25 October 1950, son of Dov and Betty Kreindler, he came to Canada in 1960. In the 1980s, he owned and managed Banquox Sound in Winnipeg that provided audio services to visiting international artists such as Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Three Dog Night, and Kiss, as well as for Winnipeg's artistic community at events such as the Winnipeg Folk Festival and Folklorama.

After suffering a heart attack at the age of 39, he studied accounting at Red River College and later worked for such clients as the Reh-Fit Centre, Momentum Health, and the Aboriginal Health and Wellness Centre until retirement. He died at Winnipeg on 3 February 2024.
