Memorable Manitobans: Michael David Kiedyk (1933-2011)

Educator.

Born at Fisher Branch on 20 February 1933, he left in 1951 to attend Isaac Newton School in Winnipeg. He then received a degree in education at Brandon College. He was the Principal of Bield School (1953-1954), Medora School (1954-1955), Isabella School (1957-1958), and St. Andrews School (1958-1967). He taught mathematics, science, and computer science at Lord Selkirk Junior High School until retirement in 1988. He died on 15 November 2011.
