Memorable Manitobans: Frances Jennet Kasper (1933-2023)

Photographer, artist, writer, poet.

Born at Winnipeg on 27 March 1933, only child of Anne Florence Setlak (1908-1961) and Nicholas Walter Kasper (1903-1991), she worked in offices, banks, and professional organizations. Her creativity was expressed through photography, art, writing, and poetry. A collection of her poems was published as Deep Reflections in Poetry (1988). She died at Winnipeg on 22 March 2023 and was buried with her parents in the Brookside Cemetery.
