Entertainer.
Born at Winnipeg in 1942, one of three children of Theresa Marie Clara Angers (1914-1976) and Arnold Weseley Neville (1912-1999), sister of Barbara Dawn Neville, she and her sister formed the singing duo of Neville Sisters in their early teens and performed at community dances and on amateur talent shows. This led to offers from several local radio stations. They had their television debut on First Nighter and subsequent on Music Makers '58, Talent Caravan, Rumpus Room, and The Show That Jack Built. In 1960, she began a professional career on the Red River Jamboree on CBC. As her popularity climbed, CBC introduced the Peggy Neville Show. This was the first attempt at a colour television program broadcasting in Canada. She died at Sauble Beach, Ontario on 9 August 2009 and was buried in the Zion Cemetery at Hepworth.
