Born at Winnipeg on 14 February 1926, son of Moishe and Rachel Herscovitch, after graduating from high school, he attended the University of Manitoba and received a degree in Architecture in 1948. He joined the firm of Green Blankstein and Russell and participated in the design of many iconic buildings until retirement in 1992. On 26 August 1954, he married Eleanor Sterin (1930-2023) and they had two daughters. He was an avid reader and painter, flew remote controlled airplanes, and built model trains. He died at the Grace Hospital on 27 January 2018.
