Opera director.
Born at Winnipeg on 27 May 1966, one of four children of Robert Eugene “Bob” Herriot (1921-2001) and Mary O'Sullivan (1924-2008), he completed a Masters degree in Voice at the University of Toronto. Starting as a singer, he soon became an opera stage director at venues across Canada and the United States, including at Manitoba Opera, Rainbow Stage, and the Little Opera Company in Winnipeg. He played a mentorship role at the University of Manitoba's Desautels Faculty of Music. A talented modeler, he made a replica of the Winnipeg Airport in the basement of his home on Waverley Street. He died suddenly at home on 3 July 2026, survived by his husband Larry “Lars” Treloar.
