Educator.
Born at Solsgirth on 17 February 1911, daughter of Louisa Finan and John Workman, she attended the Brandon Normal School (1929-1930) then taught at Lansburne School (1930-1936). In the latter year, she married William Fredrick Knox Gray (1909-2004) and they farmed near Solsgirth for a few years then moved to Brandon. In 1942, they moved with their new son and daughter to Graysville. There, she was a long-time teacher (1946-1973, Principal 1962-1966) of Graysville School, serving until retirement in 1973. In May 2002, she was the first recipient of a life membership in the Retired Teachers’ Association of Manitoba. In 1981, she and her husband moved to Carman where she died on 25 July 2008 and was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery.
