Andre Gouzee

Businessman.
Born at Brussels, Belgium on 26 July 1876, he came to Canada in 1896 and farmed for several years near Indian Head, North West Territories (now Saskatchewan). He moved to Winnipeg in 1907 where he was Managing Director of the General Financial Corporation of Canada and the Alberta Belgian Society. He was Manager of the Mortgage Company of Canada and the Belgo-Canadian Fruit Lands Company. He was a director of the Belgo-Canadian Real Estate Company and the Land and Agricultural Company of Canada.
He was a member of the Manitoba Club, St. Charles Country Club, and Winnipeg Hunt Club. He returned to Belgium around 1926 and died at Brussels on 20 September 1946. He was survived by a widow, two sons, and two daughters.
