Athlete.
Born in the RM of Whitemouth on 31 March 1919, daughter of Louisa Elondie Van Wallegham and ? Harrison, she played baseball with the West Kildonan Tigerettes for eleven seasons and was named to the All-Star team four times. She was an avid five- and ten-pin bowler and rolled two perfect games, winning many championships at the local and national levels. She golfed at the Pine Ridge Golf Club and shot several holes in one and won many senior championships. In recognition of her prowess in numerous sports, she was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame (1996) and Manitoba Softball Hall of Fame (2003). She was married twice, first on 14 November 1937 to Carl Alfred Johnson (c1908-1971) at Winnipeg and they had three daughters. In 2005, she married Robert Frank Gallimore (c1917-2005). She died at Winnipeg on 27 November 2020.
