Community activist.
A champion for the poor, in the late 1980s she was founding Executive Director of the Manitoba Anti-Poverty Organization. In recognition of her community service, she received a Citizen Activist Award from the Joseph Zuken Memorial Association, was named a YWCA Woman of the Year (1984), and was inducted into the Manitoba Order of the Buffalo Hunt (1986).
On 27 January 1945, she married Clarence Foltz (1916-1991) at Winnipeg and they had three daughters and three sons before divorcing in May 1970. She died at her Winnipeg residence on 18 July 2000 and was buried in the Brookside Cemetery.
