Liveryman, municipal official.
Born in Ontario on 3 January 1864, he came to Manitoba in 1889 and worked as a liveryman at Boissevain. He and wife Mary Catherine Martin (1861-1938) had six children: William M. Elliott (1891-?, Calgary), Jeanette Thomson Elliott (1892-1969, wife of David Shorey), John Harold Elliott (1896-?), Edward H. Elliott (1898-?), Adelia Grace Elliott (1899-?), and Marion Catherine Elliott (1904-?). He served as a councillor and Mayor (1906-1909) of Boissevain. He died in his Boissevain residence on 21 February 1920 and was buried in the Boissevain and Morton Cemetery.
