Memorable Manitobans: Henry Trevor “Harry” Edwards (1921-2017)Educator. Born at Winnipeg on 15 August 1921, son of Ernest Edwards (1883-1959) and Rebecca Rushton (1885-1971), he attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. In 1942 he enlisted in the Canadian military, serving in artillery. Following his military discharge, he received a BA degree and Education Diploma from the University of Manitoba and became a teacher in the Winnipeg School Division, serving at King Edward School (1949-1954) and Daniel McIntyre Collegiate (1954-1963). He was the Vice-Principal of Sargent Park School (1963-1964), Principal of Queenston School (1966-1969), Vice-Principal of R. B. Russell High School (1972-1973), Principal of Andrew Mynarski School (1973-1975), and Vice-Principal of Grant Park High School (?-1978). He retired in 1978.
