Civil servant.
Born at Toronto, Ontario in 1926, as a teenager, she worked for Ontario Hydro to support her family. She became active with the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation at 18, the beginning of a lifelong commitment to justice for working people. She held various positions with the CCF, and its successor NDP, including Treasurer in the 1960s. After the early death of her husband, she returned to work as Director of the Women's Bureau for the Government of Manitoba. She then became the first Director of the Women's Bureau at the Canadian Labour Congress, but subsequently returned to Manitoba to become Deputy Minister of Labour. She and husband Francis Eady (?-1972) had two sons. She died at Ottawa, Ontario on 16 November 2011.
