Memorable Manitobans: Ewart Reginald Dolmage (1897-1935)Educator. Born at Souris on 18 June 1897, son of John Dolmage and Mary Ann Hetherington (1862-1948), he was educated at the Souris Collegiate. During the First World War, he served with the Canadian Expeditionary Forces. He graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1930 and was Principal of Polson School (c1932-1935), dying during his tenure from a protracted illness. He died, unmarried, at his St. Vital residence at Suite 6, Alameda Apartments, on 24 February 1935 and was buried in Elmwood Cemetery.
