Memorable Manitobans: Thomas Walter Dawson (1848-1916)
Farmer.
Born Cape Cove, Ontario, 5 August 1848. Son of Thomas Walter Dawson and Mary Beck. Married Elizabeth Jordan, 28 May 1878. Has six sons and five daughters. Four of his sons farm in the Manitou District. Dr. Hilda Merline Dawson is a daughter. The family are members of the Anglican Church. Address, Manitou, Manitoba.
He was killed on 25 May 1916 when his team of horses ran out of control, near Manitou.
