Memorable Manitobans: Isaac Cockburn (1841-1927)Municipal official. Born at Berwick, Ontario, he was retired from business (in coal, lumber, and mining) when he moved to Winnipeg around 1901. He served on the Winnipeg City Council from 1918 to 1919. He died at Winnipeg on 8 May 1927 and was buried at Gravenhurst, Ontario. Sources:1911 Canada census, Automated Genealogy.
