Memorable Manitobans: Philip McHugh Casey (1923-1977)Born at Winnipeg in 1923, son of William Charles Casey and Marie Antoinette Marrin (1884-1952), in the 1950s he worked for the architectural firm of Northwood Chivers and Casey. On 1 October 1949, he married Shirley Mary Dwyer (1924-2008) and they had four children. He died at Halifax, Nova Scotia on 17 September 1977 and was buried in the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
