Butcher.
Born at Gray County, Ontario on 30 March 1863, he came to Brandon in 1884 and work as a butcher until retirement in 1923. On 25 December 1889, he married Mary Ann Moggey (1865-?) in the RM of South Cypress and they had three daughters: Aleta Kathleen Burchill (1895-?, wife of Frederick Lewis Grant), Mary Althera Burchill (1897-?, wife of Clarence Walker McCallum), and Helen Bernice Burchill (1903-?). He was a member of First Methodist Church and served on the Brandon city council (1905-1906). He died at Brandon on 22 May 1937 and was buried in the Brandon Cemetery.
