Memorable Manitobans: Alfred Ernest Bowyer (1882-1953)

Contractor.

Born at Sheffield, England in 1882, he came to Winnipeg around 1913. He worked in the plumbing and heating trade, becoming a partner in the firm of Bowyer Boag Limited. He died at the Misericordia Hospital on 27 November 1953 and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery. He was survived by a wife, two sons, and a daughter.
