Memorable Manitobans: Frederick Hartington Bole (1880-1950)Grain merchant. Born in Ontario on 11 December 1880, son of David Wesley Bole and Isabella Lennox (?-1931), he worked in his father’s drug company until the 1920s when he headed the Bole Grain Company and Electric Elevator and Grain Company. On 7 September 1904, he married Edith Mary Richards (1882-1950), eldest daughter of Albert Elswood Richards, at Winnipeg. They had two children: Elswood Fredrick Bole and Leslie Bole Radcliffe. He died at his Winnipeg home, 203 Kingston Row, on 16 July 1950 and was buried in the St. John’s Cemetery. Sources:Ontario birth registration, Ancestry.
