Civil servant.

He served as Usher of the Black Rod for the first (and only) Legislative Council in Manitoba from 1873 to 1876, succeeding Frank Villiers. He died at Gleichen, Alberta on 8 February 1909 and was buried in the Gleichen Cemetery.
