Memorable Manitobans: Joseph Roger Frank Adolphe (1925-2006)Miner. Born at Lorette on 24 October 1925, son of Francois Adolphe and Rosalie Daigneault, after leaving the family farm in 1947 he worked as a miner at Flin Flon. He is most remembered for saving the lives of three of his co-workers and being a mentor to youth. He later left Flin Flon with mining injuries. He died at Winnipeg on 1 June 2006 and was buried in the Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
