Historic Sites of Manitoba: Dominion Post Office Building (584 Mountain Avenue, Winkler)

This one-storey brick post office building located at the southeast corner of Mountain Avenue and Sixth Street at Winkler was designed by Charles D. Sutherland (1879-1957), Chief Architect for the Department of Public Works at Ottawa, and built in 1938 by the Claydon Construction Company of Winnipeg at a cost of about $12,500. The building is now occupied by a senior citizens centre.
