Historic Sites of Manitoba: Whitehall Apartments (100 Osborne Street North, Winnipeg)

Formerly located at the southwest corner of Osborne Street North and Whitehall Avenue in Winnipeg, a three-storey brick apartment building, measuring 58.6 feet by 93 feet, was designed by local architect Edgar Prain and built in 1929 by the construction firm of Langford and Birch for the Union Investment and Holding Company at a cost of about $90,000. In its original configuration, the building contained 32 residential apartments.

The building was demolished in November 1956 and the site is now occupied by the Great-West Life Assurance Building.
