Historic Sites of Manitoba: Virden War Memorial (Victoria Park, Virden)

A monument in Virden’s Victoria Park was erected to honour local people who served and died during military service. The park was created in 1897 and named by Mrs. Jeanne Ella Meek (1851-1933), wife of the Mayor, in commemoration of Queen Victoria.
