Historic Sites of Manitoba: Yale Avenue United Church / Transcona Memorial United Church (209 Yale Avenue West, Winnipeg)

This United Church on Yale Avenue West in Winnipeg was constructed in 1953 to replace the former Yale Avenue United Church that sat at this site. Used by the merged congregations of Yale Avenue United and Knox United Church, the demand for space became dire when the congregation of Springfield United Church had joined in 1951. The original structure was expanded with a Christian Education Hall in 1960.

A plaque in the church commemorates parishioners of its constituent congregations who were killed during military service in the First World War and Second World War.
